Andrew Sanderbeck, of the People Connect Institute, led an InfoPeople workshop I attended a while back. I subscribe to his weekly newsletter, called the Friday News Minute, and this week’s edition seemed particularly appropriate, given our 27 Things project now underway.
Here’s an exerpt:
“The focus of this week’s Friday News Minute is your personal growth and change. <snip>
“What we “know” is comfortable. It does not challenge us to grow or to change.
“Some of the people that I have met in North Carolina have told me that “the mountains come alive in the spring.” I challenge you to come alive this spring too!
“I challenge you to visit and do things that are unknown to you. To come “alive” by seeking out the unknown each day for the next 90 days.”
We at Sacramento Public are growing and changing this spring. I’m really looking forward to the harvest of self-confidence, fun, and practical applications that will change how we see library service delivery in the – hopefully – very near future!
